Today I had a virtual doctor’s appointment. A big deal was made about downloading the app and doing settings for the online component. The app was very buggy and I didn’t want to do this to my computer. When I later received a call for tech support, I tried to make a case for forgetting all these shenanigans and instead just use the good ole phone. This was met with a “If you don’t do it this way, you’ll have to cancel the appointment.” I started to cancel the appointment but then realized some of the benefits of going through with it, so I agreed to using the “high tech” approach. The following day (today) the irony was that, when I was connected with the doctor, we could see each other but the audio wasn’t transmitting. So how did we end up doing the appointment? By phone of course.
